When creating your first design portfolio, it’s always hard to find enough projects to show. Without much industry experience, the only work you can show is personal projects or made-up projects. In the past few years, a few different websites have popped up that help inexperienced designers with creative briefs. We have tried different ones (we even featured one here) but we finally found the best out there: Sharpen.
Sharpen is a free services that generates many different types of creative briefs and gives you the opportunity to express yourself, with something you are interested in. It generates the first part of the (short) brief asking you to design a specific product and then gives you more context about the audience in the second part.
You can select different design disciplines such as Branding, Product/UX or Marketing depending on what you want to improve on. You can even set a timer right in the app to add a deadline.
